Prayer Meeting
Leader: Elders and/or Deacons present
Location: Fellowship Hall
Hours: Sundays (except on The Lord’s Table); 6:00 PM
Charles Spurgeon once said: “We cannot all argue, but we can all pray; we cannot all be leaders, but we can all be pleaders; we cannot all be mighty in rhetoric, but we can all be prevalent in prayer.” This quote sums up the reason why Anza has prayer meetings. This is a great time of fellowship and an opportunity to grow to know the people in the church more: their backgrounds, spiritual, physical, and overall needs. During this time, we share our requests, praises and necessities, so that we may have an opportunity carry each other’s burdens (Gal. 6:2), serve and love our neighbor in Christ, and learn how to better minister to the people in the church and our community. No one is obligated to share or pray if one does not feel comfortable to do so. But we are all encouraged to continue to pray for the requests brought up throughout the week.

Image result for awanaAWANA is a very popular youth ministry broken down according to age. The program begins at 3 years of age and goes all the way through High School. AWANA is designed to lead children to the knowledge of Jesus Christ and train them to serve Him. This is accomplished with a three-fold breakdown of each gathering. The first segment involves group games. The second is a time when kids recite and explain verses they have memorized in their discipleship books. The third segment involves a prepared chapel message for the entire group. AWANA runs with the school year and begins in September and run till June.
